It’s now mid-March, so that means we’re starting to see green. Green Apple, that is! Here at Tickle Water, we’ll be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a Green Apple-flavored Tickle Water toast! We have a fun idea for a healthy kids drink for this St. Patricks Day.
If your kids are anything like mine, I’m sure they’ve started coming home from school with St. Patrick’s Day crafts: four-leaf clovers, leprechauns, rainbows, and pots of gold. My son and I have been talking a lot about tradition and luck. He’s already determined to find a few four-leaf clovers this summer, too. And what about St. Patrick’s Day recipes? If you’re looking for a fun idea for a healthy kids drink, you can use Green Apple or unflavored Tickle Water,. Pop open the can and drop in a thin wedge of green apple or a twist of lime. Because the can is clear, kids will be able to see the fruit inside. They’ll see the bubbles too, making it a fun and entertaining drink for kids. If it’s a option between that and sugary green drink, the healthier choice is very clear.
Because of when it falls on the calendar, Saint Patrick’s Day is also a good time to check in with health and nutrition goals. Did New Year’s resolutions have the staying power we wanted when we made them back in January? Now that we’re a few months in, are we making choices to have a healthier 2016? And it can be a good time to look ahead to the summertime, too. Before the heavy jackets and thick sweaters come off, and before we head to the pool or the beach, it’s good to stop to think about healthy eating and drinking.
From all of us atTickle Water,, wishing you a very happy Saint Patrick’s Day. Remember: for the kids, a bit of green apple or a lime makes a festive treat. And an insider tip for adults: take a little sip, pour in a splash of vodka or gin, and, just like that, an easy treat for mom or dad.
